Prax Foundation Roots, in close partnership with Prax Lindsey Oil Refinery, has announced support as Corner Stone Patrons to Onside Horizon Youth Zone, which is located in Grimsby town centre, in North East Lincolnshire, in England. Working in close partnership with the refinery, the enterprise is being positioned as the UK flagship initiative for Prax Foundation Roots, demonstrating the overall commitment that the Prax Group has to North Lincolnshire, besides being a good neighbour to the communities we operate in. The combined values and aims of Prax Foundation Roots, the Prax Group and Onside Horizon Youth Zone will result in a synergy that will be very productive for the project and for the young people themselves. This was demonstrated throughout discussions with Onside and especially during sessions with the Youth Zone’s Young People Development Group, where they took the opportunity to learn more about Prax Lindsey Oil Refinery and the wider Prax business.
The Youth Zone will provide a safe and inspiring space for local young people aged between 8 and 19, and up to 25 for those with additional needs, to spend their leisure time. Once constructed, the Youth Zone will be open 7 days a week, offering over 20 activities every night, for just 50 pence per visit. This space will provide thousands of young people with somewhere to go, something to do and someone to talk to.
To mark the significant milestone of entering the construction phase of the Horizon Youth Zone, the team leading the project attended a ground-breaking ceremony celebration at Docks Beers in Grimsby with key stakeholders, including representatives from both Prax Lindsey Oil Refinery and Prax Foundation Roots.
